Great service and reliable, easy install windlass

Posted by Unknown on 15th Jul 2016

Service and integrity of Dark Horse were commendable! They proved their trustworthiness!
Easy installation of the unit. Importantly, this windlass comes with a new solenoid, a new breaker switch and a new toggle switch for the dash -- so no need to purchase these separately. Also important, this model is an exact fit replacement for Horizon 600/900 windlasses, so there is no need to drill new holes in the deck. The studs that come with the set are very long (too long, probably) and may need to be cut back, lest they interfere with the free fall of the rode and chain.
